Qualifications
Mary Jo Romano has been working with individuals and businesses to bring creative solutions and unbiased advice to her clients since 1992. She started her own practice as an independent investment advisor in 2006 to focus solely on her clients without any obligation to sell proprietary products or uphold a corporate agenda.
She received her MBA from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT and her BA from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. She holds multiple FINRA Registrations Series 7-General Securities Representative, Series 6-Investment Company/Variable Contracts Representative, Series 63-Uniform Securities Agent State Law & Series 65 –Uniform Investment Advisor as well as two professional designations. She obtained the RFC (Registered Financial Consultant) designation from the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants after receiving a Certificate in Financial Planning from Kaplan College and she obtained the CRPC (Chartered Retirement Planning Consultant) designation granted by the American College for Financial Planning. Both designations require ongoing continuing education credits. She is certified in the Connecticut Partnership for Long Term Care and is licensed in Life and Health Insurance policies. She is registered in Connecticut and New York for both securities and insurance.
Mary Jo is a member of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce and their Women in Networking Group in Shelton, CT. She is also a member of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and their Power Network Group in Monroe, CT. She lives in Oxford, CT with her husband with whom she has two grown sons.
